THERE'S A WHOLE WORLD OF DOMINIC'S ZINES TO EXPLORE...
Hello there. I'm Dominic Davis the editor. Of course! Why am I even introducing myself? I'm everwhere on this website!! And in case you didn't know, this handsome mug is me!
And I make zines for a hobby. Hoping to one day produce and sell these of as my job. To sell DGmag was my aim. But now the DGmag has company, for I have started from last October to begin a new comic zine: Boy and Cat's Ultimate Zine. Zines are self published miniature booklets or comics. They are usually quite small and quick to read but can sometimes on occasions change the format. Take example DGmag. I make the comic digitally rather than the usual A3 sheet of paper zines you tend to find. Usual zines have an A3 sheet of paper which is then folded down into a small 8 page zine that provides mainly wacky humour or important information. Sometimes to advertise a band, start a promotion towards interviewers, or just to simply make a small and silly zine. Whatever the theme, the skies the limit!! But I want to go further. So in 2018, I made the first ever DGmag zine. That's right, an even smaller to make DGmag than the ones I make now? And all hand-drawn to then it was digitally coloured too? Whaaaa?!! But don't panic yourself good reader. This doesn't mean DGmag as you know it is gone. In fact quite the opposite! It means that DGmag is now exploring zine routes for your characters. Dom and Ginger, Dogtor Who, Stan and Liar, etc etc etc... (As of 2021 I STILL haven't worked on more. Maybe one day perhaps?) "But what about the other zines you make?" you might say. Well... Here are some other zines you can find on DGmag's sister website: thezinesite.blogspot.co.uk |
